It's official...

They're engaged!

Movie Night!

So, Emily and Shawnee went to "Time out for Women" on Friday night so we decided to have a "Movie Night" at Mom and Dad's house. Casey borrowed a projector and we projected some movies on the wall in the big room. Zack and Lila were thrilled with watching TMNT because Zack is totally into "'inja Turtles." Nat made popcorn and Mom made carmel popcorn and we had such a fun night hanging out together. After the kids went to bed, the adults watched "Eagle Eye" and after that Danny, Wayne, and Nick watched "Transformers 2" until 3 am. It was such a fun night and was so fun to just hang out with family. We missed our family members who weren't there.

Here are the popcorn makers.

We spread out blankets and rearranged the couches.

Brady hadn't sat down by the time I started taking pictures but I wanted to document that he was there.

Dan and Shan hanging out (This is their last night of not being engaged.)

Here's the group. Notice that Zack and Lila are completely sucked into the show but Abby's bouncing and running around everywhere...that's how it was the whole night.

I noticed that even though I tried hard to get everyone in the picture who was there, I failed to get a picture of me (Tami) in any pictures, but I was really there!!! I didn't get any of Andy either. I'm not sure what he was doing...probably playing with his new 4-wheeler.

Benson meets Danny.... again

Dad got a new plotter (really big printer) at work, so he has been bringing home random HUGE pictures. Some pircures he's brought home have included: a hawk, Benson, landscape, and a couple of HUGE Dannys.

When we went over to Mom and Dad's, we showed Benson pictures of Danny and he gave him hugs...

And "high 5"

Whenever we ask Benson where Danny is, he always says "buh-bye". Even now, as I'm posting, he is saying it over and over again.

Missing Dano

Well as most of you know, Danny left the MTC yesterday and flew to Costa Rica. While he was at the airport he called home and I talked to him for probably 2 or 3 minutes. He seems happy (although his last meal at the MTC was burritos and beans & rice and he said he was hungry.)
I have this little penguin toy sitting by our family picture on my nightstand because the last night we hung out together with Danny, Shanna, Andy, McKenzie, Nick, and Tami we went to Warrens and the penguin toy was in my kids meal. I have had it on my nightstand ever since and it reminds me of Danny.

Missing Danny

I was looking through pictures tonight and found a few of Danny from his visit here. I thought you might like to see them!

I thought this was sweet. That "scurvy dog" probably read her a hundred stories while he was here.
This one just reminds me of Danny... I can almost hear him being silly when I look at this picture.

Dear Danny

Lila painted a picture for Danny a few days ago. When it had dried she dictated a letter to him. This is how it went (in her own words faster than I could even keep up!! I think that "scurvy dog" comes from a pirate book that he read to her while he was here.)

Dear Danny,
We got your letter. Thank you for giving us... uhm... a letter. Dear Danny. I love you. This day was really great, and I really love you. You are my bestest uncle and you are really funny because I'm not a scurvy dog because that's what you say in Spanish. "Scurvy dog & belmo" means I love you. Dear Danny, we are giving you a message because you are my bestest uncle & scurvy dog is what you called me and you do what I say and I really love you for saving the earth. Dear Danny, I love you scurvy dog. Your mission is really great because you are my bestest in the world and I really love you for days and days and days! Scurvy dog! I want to say that this is from Lila. Love Danny (she wouldn't let me write Love, Lila. Then I helped her draw a heart and write her name.)

My Mission Blog

Hey all. This is Danny. not to draw away from all of those cute stories of me, but i wanted to let you know that i have a new blog for my mission. It is elderhaws@blogspot.com ... I will not post on it, or probably even see it, but I will send pictures to Natalie (she is always home and never busy) and she will throw them up on it for me. This is mostly because of the difficulty of sending things. So thats that. I will try to figure out how to make a link so that it is easy to get to. Thanks for your support and i sure love you all.

Oh Danny Boy...

I meant to do this yesterday but hopefully you were all to busy to notice... anyway, I wanted to wish Danny a Happy Birthday!! (Just a little bit late).

I remember lot of things about all of us growing up, but I remember the most about you Danny. We like to joke that I was your second mom. I sure love you like I am! I remember when mom told me she was pregnant with you. I wasn't surprised at all because it just seemed about time to have another one. I'm sure I must have treated you like my own personal doll! :) Just a few of my favorite Danny memories.

I remember rocking you to sleep and singing to you. Oh, how I loved you. I remember your first word. I was convinced it was "Ice"!

I remember your first haircut. You were sitting outside on the lawn with your white blond curly hair and your bright blue eyes. I had flashbacks when we were cutting Zack's hair. I am pretty sure I cried when mom cut your curls off too.

I remember those two missing teeth too. I'm pretty sure I was there when you knocked them out. You used to chew on the plastic glasses... you had the cutest little smile though!

I remember when you were little and we shared a room (the room which is coincidentally your room now.) I used to try to read my scriptures at night. I was young and didn't really understand them, but you were younger. I remember you asked me to read them to you so every night you would sit while I read scriptures to you.

And who could forget your little love notes to me. You could barely write your letters but spelled out my name in a sweet note that I still have! "I love you MLE".

When I went away to college you were so little. Every time I came home you grew a little more. Now you're all grown up and as cute as ever. I'm so proud of the man you've become and I'm so proud of you for the decision to go on a mission. It's the right one and I know you'll be blessed and you'll be happy.

Munchkin, George... my little friend!! :) Happy Birthday kiddo! I love you!
Love, Em

More of Jan & Danny

**I fixed the pictures so I'm reposting it!**

I just posted some pictures on my blog from when Mom and Danny were here but I thought you guys would like to see a few more.

Mom & the kids at Chuck E. Cheese

Most of these were taken at the New England Aquarium. The most exciting thing they have there are the penguins. (They have real ones, not just the bronze one you see here!) I think that Danny thought they were cool.

This is us brainwashing Lila into wanting to be a veterinarian so that she would like her Christmas present (a veterinary hospital/doctor kit). It worked though, she LOVES the animal hospital!!

These are at Wendy's a few minutes before we dropped Danny off at the airport.

Antelope

Nick, Casey, Andy, Danny, Nathan (Nick's brother) and some of Natalie and Casey's friends (Jake, Travis, Stuey, & Jon) have all started playing on an indoor soccer team. They played last night and did amazing! They didn't win but they did so good!

Just a little side note... Their team name is Antelope.

Conference Weekend

Well, it seems about time that I make a post on here. I have added some new posts to my blog but I thought I would add some to this blog. These pictures are from after priesthood session of conference. I tried to take a picture of everyone that was there.

I know this looks dangerous, but Nick is just inspecting the air soft gun. Good thing we saved him some pizza...
Boys and their girls.

I really just walked around to take a picture of everyone and I captured exactly how it was with these pictures.
I tried to get them to smile but this was the best they would give me.
We were making frankeinstein candy dishes and McKenzie was making a vampire one. Look at nickandtami.blogspot.com to see my completed one.

Nat just got done feeding Benson. He was posed very cute so we took some pictures.
Notice that Benson was all decked out for the hunt.
This is one of the first times Andy held Benson. Can you tell?

Moleman gone wild

The night Benson was born we were waiting for so long to get to see the baby, so Nick, Andy, Danny, and Tami were at Mom and Dad's and I made chili dogs for dinner for the boys. Needless to say, Danny got bored and put the bag to the french bread on his head. Thought you would all enjoy the pictures.
What a way to welcome Benson to the world!

Zero Gravity

So Danny, Greg (mine and Andy's boss) and I spent Friday & Saturday down in the San Rafael Swell doing a slot canyon. We did the slot called Zero Gravity. It was a blast! We drove down on Friday afternoon after work and camped near the slot. We woke up early on Saturday and broke camp and headed out. We knew we would get wet, but this slot was pretty full of water which is a good thing. We all got wet, no avoiding that. We did some semi-extreme stuff too. We swam under a bridge from one pothole to another. We also jumped into a pool that was easily 12 feet deep or more (I didn't take many pictures, but there is a pic of the spot we jumped in at here. Third set of pictures on the left). All in all it was just plain fun. Here are a few pics. The videos and the rest of the pictures are on my Picasa page here.
