Arequipa Peru

Arequipa Peru
February 7, 2020

We left Lima today at about noon.  We landed at about 2:00 pm in Arequipa.  We saw mountains and snow capped volcanoes.  We were met by one of the clerks at the temple.  Brother Rodriguez.   He was very nice and fun to talk to.  He speaks English so I was happy about that.

Brother Rodriguez

We enjoyed the ride to the temple, our new home for 6 months.  It felt a lot like Trujillo but felt so different. There were hills and cobble stone narrow streets that wound around up and down.  We saw green terraced farm land, beautiful fields, a lot of taxis, and typical Peruvian landscape on our way to the temple.

The building on the left is the apartment building for the missionaries and the bottom part has a distribution center, a very nice waiting area, and dining area with two full kitchens where members can make food and eat.  It is very nice.

We made it!
Such a pretty place!  It seems very peaceful.
We can feel the spirit on the temple grounds and around the temple.  It is beautiful.
