Emigration in Lima

Emigration in Lima
Feb. 5, 2020

We spent our first night in the Alberge at the Lima Temple.  After a good night rest, we got up early and were ready to go to Emigration and the Interpol at 6:30 to get our card,  authorizing us to be in Peru as missionaries.

The Alberge behind us at the Lima Temple.  This is where we ate lunch yesterday and spent the night last night.

Miguel

Miguel Rodriguez who works for the area office, picked us up at the temple.
We went to the CCM, or MTC in Lima to pick up President and Sister Wade.  They were going with us to get their cards too.

We had a good visit as we drove through the busy streets of Lima.  We discovered President and Sister Wade are from St. George.  They have 6 sons, and were mission presidents in Portugal.

The officials at the Interpol looked at our teeth, asked us if we had any scars, and took our finger prints twice.  Miguel had the paper work filled out and it went smoothly.  Miguel was a great help.

President and Sister Wade were able to go back to the CCM.  Because Wayne and I were flying to Arequipa the next day, we needed to wait for our cards to be made.  We waited for about 2 hours.  While we waited, we met a few members.  It's always fun to meet members of the church.
