Lunch With The Alva Family
3/2/2020
Today after Stake Conference, Wayne and I were invited to eat lunch with the Alva family. We were so happy to see Brother and Sister Alva, he will be 99 years old in May. It was so good to see him doing so well.
What a fun visit to listen to Wayne and Jaun talking together like old friends. I recorded it but the file is too big and it won't download. Juan's daughter Ruth, and her husband visited with us.
I like how they are all three so happy We enjoyed a wonder meal. Emma made us Tamales, Chicken, mashed potatoes, and a vegetable salad. For desert we had Mousse de Limon. It was all delicious!!
Jaun and Emma's new little great grand daughter, Emeila, she belongs to Dianna,
Ruth, Emelia, and Rosie
Wayne gave Juan his suit coat.
When Wayne left Trujillo 45 years ago as a young missionary, he gave his suit to Juan. Emma altered it to fit him. This has always been a fun story to talk about every time we visit. Wayne put his suit coat on Juan today and Juan thought Wayne was leaving him his suit again. He was very sad when he didn't get to keep it. Wayne would have let him have the suit this time too, but it is the only suit he brought with him, he needed to keep it to wear. It was kind of funny but also sad.
Sweet Emma! How we love her.
Dianna, Juan and Emma's granddaughter. Dianna is the mother of baby Emilia.
Saying goodbye!
We may never see Juan and Emma together again, time will tell.
As far as this visit goes, it was wonderful and we sure love them.
