March Craft Night
So, I think I'm in charge of March craft night. I was thinking we could make these "welcome" signs like Jan has at the top of the stairs...the one that has different holiday/season things hanging from it. What do you all think? I don't know the price yet, but the originals were about $7 for the "welcome" part and then about $2-3 bucks per item...and I'm pretty sure we can do it for cheaper. Jan recommended that we have vinyl sayings made instead of having to paint the letters, which I agree with; my guess is that would be a couple of bucks. (If you feel this is too pricey, I have a plan B). So, let me know if you want it to say something other than "welcome" and/or if you have a font you'd like, or if you're ok with me choosing for all of us. I was also thinking we could paint a set or two of the holiday/seasons that night and then be able to do these for future craft nights if you wanted. Tell me what you all think. As for a date, the best time for me would be March 22...I could do the 29th with some creative time management, or we could wait until April 5th for when the boys are at priesthood meeting, but I don't know if you have other plans for that night. Let me know what you think!

I think that this is a very cute idea! i also think that doing the vinal lettering is better option than hand painting. I honestly don't mind speding the extra money, but it's up to everyone else. I dont mind either way. Either night is fine to do the craft, i just need to know two weeks in advance so that i can ask for work off. Just let me know what everyone decides.

ps: How much do i owe Natalie for the months craft? I'll have to call you so that i can transfer some money over to ya.
I think this craft would be PERFECT!!! I think vinyl letters would be best, and I'm fine with whatever Shawnee chooses.
Also, for the blocks, everyone just owes me 35 cents for each block they did.
man, this really sucks for me! I am totally missing out!! Maybe you could cut one out for me and I can make it when I come... and I know I don't really have a say, but I think everyone will trust Shawnee's judgment on the font choice! ;)
Agreed, agreed, and agreed. Wow, I guess I don't have to say anything else. Shawnee, I would love to make these crafts. I loved them (that's why I bought them for Mom for her birthday or Christmas one year)!
I'm fine with you choosing the Vinyl Lettering also, and I really do love this craft.
As far as dates are concerned...I don't care which night we choose. If we do it the night of priesthood we might want to keep in mind that we usually do some kind of dinner afterwards. I'm really okay with any of the dates though!
I love this idea Shawnee! I think they are so cute, and I also have to agree that vinyl lettering would be the best choice. I can do it any day really so I will just go with the flow.
