Three Malls In One Day
February 10, 2020
This morning we decided to walk downtown to find the PlazaVea mall.
I took this picture when we got down the hill. The temple is located in such a pretty place. There is farm land down in a gully that runs along the road that takes you up the side of the temple where the guard house and entrance are. I love the beautiful crops we see growing in every space they will fit.
We first went to the Totttus mall just to walk around it to see what the different stores they have there. We shopped at Tottus with the Doxey's Saturday, so we didn't buy any food there, we just wanted to explore a little.
As we walked inside the mall we met these Elders. It was so fun to see them and talk to them for a while Elder Bowers is from West Point, so close to Hooper.

Then we walked a few blocks to find the mall that had a PlazaVea, which is another grocery store. We
One of those pictures I just had to take.
I love seeing Peruvians in their colorful dress with stuff tied on their backs.
We bought some containers at PlazaVea for flour, salt, and sugar, we got a garbage can for under the sink and got some other things we needed. We took it all home and put it all away.

We wanted to go to Chili's for lunch so we got a taxi and rode for about 25 minutes across town to the mall Plaza San Miguel, that had the Chili's.
When we went inside the Chili's, there was a table with missionaries there eating lunch. We were happy to join them. It was fun to be close to such wonderful young missionaries. Their spirit and enthusiasm are wonderful. We enjoyed talking to them mostly in Spanish, but I was able to talk to the English speakers.

Wayne and I shared a Chicken Fired Chicken and Frozen Lemonade with Pomegranate. It was delicious. Having this again brought back many good memories of Trujillo. It was so good to have it again. So yummy!
We walked through the mall and decided to see if we could find some more of the things we need for our apartment at the Metro store. We did find more stuff and we got a few more groceries. We got a taxi and headed back to our apartment.
Some pictures I took along the way back to our apartment.
We finished the day with a game night.
Sister Doxey left a note on our door when we got home from our busy afternoon, inviting us to a game night with the other missionaries. I baked some candy bar chip cookies, and we joined them all at 7:00 pm. We played Dios. it was a fun but interesting night as we go to know some of the other missionary couples a little better.
