After we left Ollantaytambo we rode to the train station and got on the train to Aguas Calientes.
We took a short walk to catch the train. There were people selling their goods all along the way.
We boarded the train. It was a Vista Dome which was clear on the top so we could see the wonderful views.
The train goes along the Urubama River. This is the same river that goes through the Sacred Valley, Aguas Calientes and it runs along the bottom of Machu Picchu. It is a beautiful river.
You can see some terraces on the left and some ruins over on the right.
The train stopped for a few minutes to let another train switch tracks. This little family came and just stood there as we waited, I had to take a picture.
More about Aguas Calientes in the next post.
