Happy New Year * Monday Walk * Lunch With Bentley's

Happy New Year!

As we welcome in the new year, we can't help but look back at the wonderful year our family has had.  As missionaries in the Trujillo Temple, we've been very blessed to have shared this year together, just me and Wayne.  We spent all the year here in Peru and it has been wonderful.  We are happy for 2017 because in July of this year, we'll finish our mission and return home to Hooper!

We have missed our family at home as there have been many changes and the grand children have all grown up a little without us.  We had three newborn babies when we left who are now 18 months old and we've had two new babies join our family.  We have been blessed as we've served.

Sunday for our Sacrament Meeting, we went to the Laurales ward.  We've been to this ward before so I didn't really take many pictures.

Monday we had the day off from the temple, so we decided to go for another long walk.

We wanted to see where the Bentley's new apartment was.  We headed out and found what we thought was their place.  The Bentley's were working in the mission office which is in the Primavera church, and it is just down the street from their apartment.  We went to the church to talk to them and when we got there, they were just coming out the gate on their way to lunch, so we had lunch with them at a little place by the church.  We showed them the pictures of the apartments we took and this one is theirs.

They live on the 5th floor

We enjoyed the visit and walked back to the temple.

Later that evening we walked to the mall and these birds flew over us.  There were a bunch of them.  I couldn't get a good picture of them all.

We went to Chili's and had our Monday special Chicken Fired Chicken for dinner.
We shared a meal and had a good evening.

Happy New Year Everybody!
