Welcome Elder and Sister Wood

Welcome Elder and Sister Wood
Tuesday 4/18/2017

Wayne and I went with President Casos to pick up Elder and Sister Wood.  Sister Casos stayed behind, she fixed a nice dinner of Lasagna, broccoli, rolls, and I made cookies.
After a long journey, they were happy to finally get here.

Morris and Rosio are from San Antonio Texas.  She grew up in Lima Peru and he grew up in Cedar City.  They have 5 children and 15 grand children.  They are excited to get unpacked and rested and excited to go to the temple tomorrow.  They immediately recognized the  beauty of the temple and temple grounds.   We were happy to meet them and excited to get to know them better.

Waiting

That's them!
This guy on the left with the vest is pushing their cart with some of their bags.

Their bags barely fit.  I had to put one by my feet and we squished together to make room.

They were so happy to be here.  They've had their mission call for almost 9 months.  They talked to us, the Hartman's, and the Ripples several times as we tried to help them know what to bring and what not to bring as they prepared to serve here.  They replaced the Guevara Megan's so they will be in apartment 222 next to us.  We're so glad they made it here safe and sound.

The woods brought us this little thank you gift for helping them get ready to be here.

Tortilla Warmer with Rooster cookie cutter and Texas recipes.

Recipes which are postcards.  So colorful and cute.

Welcome Elder and Sister Wood to the Trujillo Temple
